MISSION "Communities must take interest in their local affairs because if they do not, they could end up being governed by people who have no interest in their welfare." Thabo Mokwena, CEO of SALGA (South African Local Government Association) Lower Sharonlea Action Group is the residents' association for the lower Sharonlea area, and incorporates Lima, Chamfuti, Boabab, Nebelele, Beesvygie, Sterkbos, Wieke and Teak streets.   SAG's main objective is to provide a safe and secure living environment to all residents, where they are able to enjoy a peaceful, safe and prosperous family life. This objective is achieved through various community projects. Activities and projects run by SAG reduce the levels of crime in our area significantly. In the absence of pro-active (security) management, crime will spill over from other neighboring areas into our own. It is therefore essential to continue with our efforts and projects. Community members are still encouraged to remain vigilant and alert at all times.
